About the course
QUT’s Bachelor of Science (Climate Science) focuses on understanding climate processes and the impacts of climate change, particularly in Australia’s diverse environments. You’ll build skills in scientific data analysis, problem-solving and communication while exploring topics such as ocean–atmosphere interactions, sustainability, air and water quality, and climate change mitigation and adaptation. This bachelor degree develops a strong foundation in climate-focused science practice.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting climate risk assessment, adaptation planning and sustainability initiatives across government, consulting and industry. Career directions may include climate or environmental analyst, sustainability officer, geospatial or data-focused support roles, and work contributing to climate policy, conservation, renewable energy and coastal or natural hazard planning. This bachelor degree prepares you for applied climate science careers across science and environment sectors.
