About the course
This double degree combines chemistry with chemical engineering design to help you tackle challenges from laboratory research through to industrial-scale production. You’ll build strong foundations in science and engineering and learn to apply them to processes, materials and sustainable solutions. Delivered on campus in Melbourne City, the program culminates in an honours-level engineering qualification in chemical engineering. The programme combines engineering fundamentals, design projects, and industry-ready technical problem-solving skills.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across process and manufacturing industries where chemical and materials expertise is valued. Career paths may include chemical engineer, process engineer, engineering specialist, chemistry technician, or chemical and materials engineer. You may work in sectors such as chemicals, resources, energy, advanced materials, and process design/optimisation, supported by an honours-level chemical engineering qualification.
