This advanced honours environmental science degree is designed for high-achieving students aiming for a research-focused career. You’ll build strong foundations in environmental planning and management while tackling issues like climate change, conservation and ecosystem health. With accelerated study and early exposure to authentic research environments and projects, you develop analytical and quantitative capability alongside leading QUT researchers in specialist labs and facilities.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for environmental science and research pathways across government, consulting and industry, working on monitoring, assessment and management of land, water and ecosystems. Typical roles include graduate environmental scientist, environmental consultant, field or laboratory research assistant, environmental officer and sustainability or conservation roles. The advanced honours structure supports progression to higher degree research in environmental science. Preparing graduates for laboratory technician, research assistant, and science-based industry entry roles.
