About the course
This undergraduate stream is designed for registered nurses (Division 1) who want to upgrade from a diploma-level qualification to a bachelor award. It builds on prior nursing experience, strengthening interprofessional practice in a changing healthcare system. Study focuses on research, evidence-informed practice, and the biological and behavioural sciences underpinning nursing, supporting critical thinking and patient- and family-centred care in this Bachelor-level Nursing stream.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles as a registered nurse across a range of healthcare settings, supported by enhanced capability in evidence-informed and collaborative practice. Typical employment environments include community health agencies, private hospitals and public hospitals. This outcome aligns with an undergraduate Nursing stream that extends diploma preparation to a bachelor award (not leading to additional registration) and supports future specialisation or postgraduate study in Nursing.
