About the course
UWA’s Quantum Computing extended major introduces you to quantum technologies and how they can be applied to solve complex problems. You’ll build foundations in computing and quantum concepts, and explore emerging methods that support innovation across data- and technology-driven fields. This is an undergraduate programme in IT & Computer Science focused on quantum computing. The programme builds programming, systems thinking, and data skills for technology-driven industries and startups.

Graduates can pursue roles connected to quantum and advanced computing across a range of sectors. Career directions include government agencies, cybersecurity, and the broader tech industry, as well as applied opportunities in pharmaceuticals, automotive, travel, transport and logistics, and the financial sector.
