About the course
This course aims to increase your understanding of theoretical and methodological aspects of research, to develop your analytic, research and communication skills, and to provide you with advanced knowledge in specific areas of the science and practice of psychology. In this course you must complete coursework components designed to expand your knowledge of statistics and the ethics of psychological research and practice, and broaden your understanding of the discipline. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
Career outcome
Graduates develop strong research, analytical and communication skills that are valued across psychology-related and broader roles. Pathways may include research assistant and data/insights roles, behaviour and community services, health and wellbeing support settings, and entry to further accredited postgraduate training required for psychologist registration. As an honours year, it is designed to support progression to advanced psychology study and research-focused careers in psychology.
