About the course
This one-year honours program extends prior psychology study through advanced exploration of contemporary psychology, research methods and data analysis. You will work closely with academic staff to plan and complete an independent research project submitted as an honours thesis, with opportunities for seminars and presentations. It is designed to build strong research capability and prepare graduates for further postgraduate study and psychology-related professional pathways.
What you might learn
This intensive honours year deepens knowledge of contemporary psychology while strengthening research methods, ethics and data analysis skills. Students complete advanced coursework plus an independent research project and thesis, building critical thinking and problem-solving. The program also develops pre-professional capabilities in assessment, intervention and counselling, supported by supervision and research presentations to improve communication of findings.
