About the course
This program prepares you to teach in primary classrooms (Prep to Year 6). You’ll build curriculum knowledge across key learning areas including English, maths, science and technology, arts, HPE, history and geography, and develop skills to plan, teach and assess learning. The degree includes community engagement and 80 days of supervised professional experience, plus a specialisation in STEM or English/literacy for a Bachelor-level teacher education qualification. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles in schools and education-focused organisations, with preparation for primary classroom teaching from Prep to Year 6. Career paths may include primary school teacher, private tutor, youth support worker, education consultant or policy analyst, and education-related media roles such as children’s television presenting. The program also supports eligibility to engage with professional teacher registration pathways, suited to a Bachelor-level career in Education & Teaching.
