About the course
Flinders’ Bachelor of Paramedicine (Northern Territory) prepares you to respond to medical emergencies and provide patient care in high-pressure settings. You’ll study theory online from anywhere in the NT, then build clinical skills through intensive practical workshops in Darwin plus placement experiences. The degree is designed for the unique challenges of remote and diverse communities in the Northern Territory. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for work as paramedics providing emergency and non-emergency care, collaborating with health and emergency services to deliver timely patient support. Skills are applicable in ambulance services and can extend to aeromedicine, remote and industrial sites, mining operations, defence or military contexts, and roles that require culturally safe practice in regional and remote communities across Australia and beyond. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
