This degree combines academic study with immersive field-based learning in Tasmania’s diverse landscapes. You’ll build skills to design and lead outdoor and environmental learning experiences, developing a strong understanding of ecosystems, sustainability and responsible practice. The course supports pathways into outdoor education and related community learning roles, with options to explore double-degree pathways. This is an undergraduate qualification in Education & Teaching.

Graduates may work in outdoor and environmental education across schools, community programs and nature-based organisations. Career paths can include outdoor education instructor, environmental education officer, program coordinator, camp or expedition leader, nature-based guide, and roles supporting sustainability learning and community engagement.
