About the course
This professionally recognised Bachelor of Social Work prepares you to support individuals, families, groups and communities to enhance wellbeing and address disadvantage. You will build capability in counselling, case management and community development, grounded in social justice, human rights and cultural safety. Studies draw on social work, psychology, social policy, research and First Nations perspectives, with intensive on-campus blocks and supervised placements meeting AASW standards.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue social work roles across government, community and health settings, supporting people experiencing crisis, poverty and social disadvantage. Career pathways include child protection, counselling and youth work, community development and policy, and roles in hospitals, primary health and mental health services. Opportunities may also extend to housing, addiction services, private practice, schools, aged care, corrections and on-Country services as a qualified social worker.
