About the course
Make the move into research and establish your expertise in the field through an advanced science degree. You'll undertake one Advanced Studies course each trimester, as well as a supervised, individual research project in your honours year. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.

Graduates are prepared for research-focused and specialist roles across science-based industries and laboratories. Career pathways can include research assistant, laboratory scientist, environmental or field officer, data and analysis roles, and progression to higher degree research. The honours research project also supports entry into research training and evidence-based work in scientific organisations and agencies.
