About the course
This degree builds an integrated understanding of human behaviour, covering sociocultural perspectives, motivation, health, psychopathology and psychology as an evidence-based science. You will study key areas such as abnormal and social psychology, cognitive and biological bases of behaviour, counselling and research methods. The program also provides preparation for an Honours year and further postgraduate professional study in psychology at bachelor level. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can use this qualification as a pathway toward psychology practice via further accredited study, and also pursue roles across human services and community settings. Career areas include child and family services, child protection, community health and welfare, disability and rehabilitation, drug and alcohol services, and health service management.
