About the course
This degree provides a foundation in psychology and behavioural studies, building a scientific understanding of human behaviour and how people interact in social settings. You’ll develop core theoretical and research skills and learn to apply evidence-based thinking to challenge assumptions and popular myths. The program also introduces complementary social science areas such as sociology, geography and Indigenous studies. This is a Bachelor Degree in Psychology. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across community and government services, mental health and human services settings, and social research environments. Career directions may include caseworker or case manager positions, research assistant roles, and work supporting programs that address social issues and wellbeing. The degree also provides a pathway to further study in psychology (with competitive Honours entry). This is a Bachelor-level pathway in Psychology.
