About the course
This Bachelor of Physiotherapy prepares you to help people restore or improve movement and function after illness, injury or ageing. You’ll study human anatomy, body systems and movement, and build practical assessment and treatment skills through hands-on learning. Training includes experience at JCU’s Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Clinic in Townsville and clinical placements, including rural, regional and remote settings, to support entry into professional physiotherapy practice at bachelor level.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue physiotherapy roles across hospitals, community and primary care clinics, rehabilitation services and private practice. Career pathways commonly include musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, neurological and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, aged-care and disability support, and rural or remote health services. The degree’s strong clinical focus and placements help build work-ready skills for registration-focused physiotherapy careers as a Bachelor-level allied health professional.
