About the course

The Doctor of Pharmacy at Charles Darwin University is a graduate-entry, extended master’s program delivered on campus and externally with an on-campus intensive. It develops professional pharmacy practice through pharmacotherapy, pharmaceutics, management and leadership. The course includes over 400 hours of work-integrated learning placements and an independent research project, with learning informed by First Nations perspectives. This is a postgraduate coursework degree in pharmacy.

Career outcome

Graduates are prepared for the broad scope of contemporary pharmacy practice, with pathways toward provisional registration and subsequent pharmacist registration requirements in Australia. Career options span clinical roles in hospitals, general practice and Aboriginal health services, as well as community pharmacy, aged care, industry and research settings. The program’s extensive placements build job-ready skills for varied settings, including rural and remote communities. This is a postgraduate coursework qualification in pharmacy.
