About the course

Nursing plays a key role in health services across the world, and professional nurses work in a wide variety of settings. The Bachelor of Nursing equips graduates with the key knowledge and skills necessary for the practice of nursing. Students who successfully complete 6 trimesters of full-time study (or part time equivalent) exit with a Bachelor of Nursing and are eligible to seek Registered Nurse status with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) as a professional nurse in Australia and by mutual recognition in New Zealand.

What you might learn

As part of this course, you will undertake core and elective subjects such as clinical decision-making, cultural competence, research and clinical practice. Graduates of this course should be able to find employment within the industry or have built a solid foundation towards obtaining a Masters degree.
