About the course

The dual four-year program allows students to combine their passion for mathematics, with the necessary skills, knowledge and practical experiences required for teacher registration and employment. Students benefit from a thorough preparation for their teaching areas combined with, and informed by, their professional studies in the area of education. The Education component offers school based learning and draws on the latest research into effective teaching, ensuring that graduates are well equipped to teach. Students completing a dual degree with education are prepared for secondary school teaching, or training in business or industry.

What you might learn

As part of this course, you will undertake core and elective subjects such as theory and laboratory classes in computational biology or immunology. Graduates of this course should be able to find employment within the industry or have built a solid foundation towards obtaining a Masters degree.
