About the course
This honours degree develops industrial design capability through a user-centred, studio and project-based learning model focused on innovation and applied design research. You’ll build skills in creating value through products, services and experiences, working with ambiguity and collaborating in development teams. The course culminates in a final-year industrial design project and offers internship or work-integrated learning opportunities in design practice at bachelor level. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue opportunities across sectors where industrial design and innovation are valued, including consumer goods, manufacturing, entertainment and games, and digital/online learning solutions. The course supports pathways into technological innovation roles and entrepreneurial or start-up contexts, as well as product and experience-focused design work in multidisciplinary teams. With further study, graduates may also progress toward secondary teaching. These outcomes align with bachelor-level industrial design preparation.
