About the course
This degree combines environmental science theory with practical experience so you can contribute to protecting and conserving the environment. You build foundations in biology, ecology and spatial analysis, then apply critical and systems thinking to complex environmental problems. The course examines human impacts and social and cultural perspectives, develops solution-focused approaches, and strengthens communication for positive environmental outcomes in bachelor-level environmental science.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for roles across government, private industry and community organisations focused on environmental management and conservation. Career directions include environment and heritage, biodiversity conservation, land and water resource management, mine site rehabilitation and nature-based tourism. Opportunities may also include First Nations land management, wildlife and reserve management, land-care, teaching, consultancy and environmental research as a bachelor-qualified environmental science professional.
