About the course

This degree builds skills to understand and manage environmental challenges by examining how biological, physical, social, economic and political factors interact. You’ll develop practical capability through labs, field trips, work experience and research-based assessments while investigating real environmental issues and designing solutions. Graduates gain a broad science and management foundation for professional practice in environmental science at bachelor level. The programme introduces business strategy, finance, marketing, and leadership foundations for commercial organisations.

Career outcome

Graduates may work across conservation, sustainability and environmental management in government, consulting and industry. Typical pathways include environmental officer or advisor, conservation and land/reef management roles, sustainability coordinator, compliance and impact assessment support, community/environmental communication, and field or laboratory technician roles. This bachelor-level environmental science qualification prepares you for entry roles and further study in environmental science and management.
