About the course
This degree explores why crime occurs and how criminal justice systems respond across different communities and countries. You’ll build skills to interpret crime data, assess prevention strategies and policies, and understand criminal justice processes from policing to courts and corrections. The course also examines how disadvantage, ethnicity, Aboriginality, disability, age and gender can shape victimisation and access to justice in a Bachelor-level criminology qualification.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across policing, courts, corrections, government and community agencies supporting people affected by the justice system. Opportunities may include criminal intelligence or investigation roles, court or case management officer positions, policy and project work, youth and welfare services, communications or media roles, and private investigation. This Bachelor degree supports careers in criminology and criminal justice practice and related public sector and community services.
