About the course
This double degree combines criminal and community justice with a professionally accredited law qualification. You’ll study offender rehabilitation, through-care and resettlement alongside core legal principles, advocacy and legal skills. Learning includes problem- and case-based classes, online support and authentic assessments, with opportunities for clinical and work-integrated learning. The final two years focus on completing the Bachelor of Laws component in Law at bachelor level.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers across legal practice and criminal justice settings. Possible pathways include solicitor or barrister, legal practitioner, criminal prosecutor, human rights advocate, judge’s associate, and legal adviser roles in community or interest groups (e.g., Aboriginal Legal Service). The justice component also supports work in corrections-related environments such as probation, parole and rehabilitation-focused services, as a combined Law and justice bachelor double degree. Preparing graduates for legal practice, paralegal, compliance, and public sector legal support roles.
