About the course
Study how the human body works and how disease affects health through biomedical science. You’ll build knowledge across areas such as anatomy, pathophysiology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology and nutrition, with practical learning supported by Federation’s Co-operative Model. The degree can be studied on campus or online with compulsory lab intensives and supervised exams. This is a Bachelor degree in biomedical science. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.

Graduates can pursue roles in biomedical and health-related laboratories, research and industry. Career pathways include biomedical scientist, biochemist, microbiologist, geneticist, immunologist, clinical scientist/clinical biochemist, laboratory technician/assistant, forensic scientist and research scientist, as well as opportunities in medical sales and pharmaceuticals. The qualification also supports progression to further study in allied health and medicine-related pathways. This is a Bachelor degree in biomedical science.
