About the course
This honours year in nutrition science builds on prior undergraduate study through advanced coursework and an original supervised research project. You’ll develop research design and methods skills, plan and implement a project, and gain practical experience in Deakin’s food and nutrition facilities and research centres. The Bachelor of Nutrition Science (Honours) is designed to prepare you for further research study and nutrition-related careers. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates are equipped for professional entry roles in Nutrition & Dietetics and further postgraduate study. Graduates register as nurses, allied health professionals, or community health practitioners.
