About the course
Study nutrition, food and population health while building practical laboratory and industry skills. You’ll learn how diet influences health and disease prevention, food choice and regulation, and sustainable food systems, with hands-on experience in food preparation, analysis and sensory labs. The degree includes at least 75 hours of industry placement and can provide a pathway to further study in dietetics. This is a Bachelor qualification in nutrition science. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.

Graduates can pursue roles across health and nutrition-related industries where evidence-based food and nutrition knowledge is valued. Career pathways may include nutrition education and health promotion, community and population health programs, food industry roles such as product development support, quality assurance and regulatory assistance, and nutrition-focused consulting, communications or marketing.
