About the course
This honours degree prepares you for professional dietetics practice, applying food and nutrition science to promote health and prevent or manage disease across individuals and communities. You’ll build critical thinking and research capability alongside practical training for work in clinical, community and food-service contexts. It is an undergraduate Nutrition & Dietetics qualification with an Honours component at UOW. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across clinical dietetics, community and public health nutrition, food service systems and research. Career paths may include clinical or private practice dietitian, community nutritionist, sports dietitian, food industry roles in product development, quality and safety, policy or health promotion, and nutrition communications. These outcomes align with a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
