About the course
Music Theatre encompasses the three principal disciplines of singing, acting and dance. At the Victorian College of the Arts, these disciplines are developed as an integrated specialisation within a performance-focused honours pathway.
What you might learn
The specialisation is designed to build advanced practical performance skills across voice, acting and dance. Students are expected to develop the artistic, technical and interpretive abilities needed for professional-level music theatre practice.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue performance careers in music theatre, stage productions and related live entertainment fields. The specialisation also supports pathways into acting, singing and dance work, as well as broader careers in the performing arts industry.
Entry requirements
For entry into the specialisation, all applicants must meet the standard eligibility for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Degree with Honours), in addition to the requirements below. Please note, the Music Theatre specialisation will not be offering a 2027 intake.
