About the course
The Bachelor of Music is a specialist undergraduate degree designed to provide you with practical performance skills in combination with an intellectual grounding in the discipline of music. As a student in the Bachelor of Music you will be immersed in high-impact learning and teaching that supports you to develop core competencies in practice and performance, theory and analysis, and history and context. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.
Career outcome
These course outcomes are aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework level 7 and Monash Graduate Attributes. Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:1. undertake sustained high-level independent practice in their chosen music specialisation 2. resolve musical and conceptual problems related to their practice or research with creativity, critical judgment, analysis3. communicate complex musical ideas associated with their specialisation through written and verbal means, as well as music-specific forms of representation4.
