This honours program is for high-achieving music graduates seeking advanced study with a strong research focus. You’ll extend your bachelor-level training through coursework in research methods and techniques tailored to your music discipline. The main component is a substantial supervised research project that may be presented as a thesis, creative practice recital with exegesis, or a folio of original compositions in a Bachelor of Music (Honours). The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.

Graduates are prepared for professional and academic pathways that value advanced music research and creative practice. The program supports progression to higher degree study and roles where specialist analytical and artistic skills are needed, such as music research and further postgraduate study.
