About the course
This is a prestigious program of coursework and research in music for high achieving students who have completed a relevant undergraduate degree. You will undertake research methodology training and carry out an independent research or studio project on your selected topic, working closely with a supervisor who will provide you with individual guidance and academic counselling. Career outcome
These course outcomes are aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework level 8 and Monash Graduate Attributes. Upon successful completion of this course it is expected that students will demonstrate advanced ability to: 1. plan and execute music research and/or project work using initiative, judgment and autonomy. 2. apply music research methodologies in a chosen music specialisation.3. communicate knowledge and ideas about music to specialist and non-specialist audiences. 4. Preparing graduates for graphic design, multimedia production, advertising, and creative studio roles.
