About the course
The Bachelor of Media Communication responds to the increasing global demand for graduates with a deep understanding of the role of media in contemporary social, cultural and economic life and well-developed professional skills in communication. The course will provide you with analytical and critical thinking skills through a core program of professional communication practice alongside specialist study in a related field such as journalism, media, screen and public relations. The core units will offer a range of practical experiences utilising the Monash Media Lab.
Career outcome
These course outcomes are aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework level 7 and Monash Graduate Attributes. Upon successful completion of this course it is expected that students will be able to:1. identify, research and analyse the great media and communications challenges of our age and develop creative and effective solutions 2. demonstrate in-depth knowledge of a specialist media and communications discipline 3. work both independently and as part of a team to encompass diverse abilities and perspectives 4.
