About the course
This undergraduate specialisation is designed for engineering students from complementary disciplines who want expertise in fluid and particle flow and related processes. You’ll develop skills in applying material and energy balances to flow systems, including multi-phase and compressible flows, and explore nanomaterials and particle characterisation. The specialisation also covers separation, agglomeration and materials handling with environmental considerations, as part of an engineering bachelor or honours degree.
Career outcome
This specialisation can support engineering career pathways that involve the analysis and design of flow and particle-processing systems. Graduates may work in industries such as process engineering, resources and minerals processing, energy, manufacturing, water and environmental engineering, and materials technology. Typical roles can include graduate engineer positions focused on fluid systems, process operations, particle technology, or materials handling and separation. This outcome aligns with undergraduate engineering bachelor or honours study.
