About the course
Study marine science in coastal environments and build expertise in ocean systems through an interdisciplinary curriculum spanning marine biology and ecology, oceanography, mapping, conservation, aquaculture, fisheries and coastal management. You’ll learn in specialist labs and through field-based learning near the Great Southern Reef, developing practical skills to understand and protect marine ecosystems and support ocean sustainability. This is a Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science.

Graduates can pursue roles across research and applied marine sectors, supporting the protection and sustainable use of marine habitats. Career pathways include biodiversity conservation, fisheries and aquaculture, marine biology and ecology, oceanography, remote sensing and modelling, microbiology and genomics, marine management and policy, and marine biochemistry/biotechnology. Further study can lead to specialised research careers. This is a Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science.
