About the course
The Italian major combines language study with cultural and historical perspectives to build confident communication skills in Italian. You’ll explore aspects of Italy’s society and creative life such as cinema, history, literature, design and fashion, and engage with Italian communities locally and globally. The major is offered in beginner and continuer streams and can include study abroad opportunities within an undergraduate languages pathway. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.
Career outcome
This major develops advanced Italian language ability, intercultural awareness and analytical skills that translate across many industries.
