Designed for graduates from non-archaeology backgrounds, this Bachelor of Letters (Archaeology) (Graduate entry) builds foundational archaeological knowledge and practical skills. You explore cultural histories and the links between past and present societies, with opportunities for hands-on investigation through field and laboratory learning. Teaching is led by internationally recognised staff with broad research and project experience across multiple regions. The programme combines disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and graduate competencies for professional career entry.
Career outcome
You will develop analytical, laboratory and fieldwork capabilities suited to roles that require strong communication, data management and evidence-based interpretation. Graduates may work in archaeology and cultural heritage settings across government, consulting and community sectors, as well as museums and education-focused organisations. Typical roles include archaeologist, cultural heritage administrator or consultant, education and interpretation officer, and museum curator for archaeology.
