About the course
CDU’s Bachelor of Laws provides the academic foundation for legal practice and careers needing legal expertise. You can study full-time or part-time, online, on campus, or in a blended mode. The degree covers Australian and international legal systems, legal research and communication, and develops skills in analysing and applying legal authority to solve legal problems, with attention to transnational, comparative and Northern Territory contexts. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles as a solicitor or barrister after completing the additional practical training required for admission. The degree also supports careers where legal knowledge is valued, including government and public service, politics and policy, industrial relations, community advocacy, and a range of business and commercial settings. This is an undergraduate qualification in Law. Preparing graduates for legal practice, paralegal, compliance, and public sector legal support roles.
