About the course
Deakin’s Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of International Studies combines accredited legal training with international and intercultural expertise. You’ll build knowledge across core areas of law while developing global awareness, communication and cross-cultural capability. The course includes practical learning such as the Deakin Law Clinic and options for study abroad or exchange, graduating with two complementary bachelor degrees for international legal pathways. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers that blend legal knowledge with international and policy capabilities. Pathways include legal practice (subject to admission requirements), government and public policy, international relations and diplomacy, regulatory and compliance roles, and legal or policy work in business and multinational organisations. The overseas experience and intercultural focus support work across jurisdictions, cross-border matters and globally oriented organisations in law and international studies.
