About the course
This double degree combines law with global studies to build a deeper understanding of legal issues in their political, historical, philosophical and economic contexts. You will gain international experience through study abroad with partner institutions and/or an overseas internship, and complete 80 hours of pro bono work to develop practical legal insight. The program prepares graduates for modern legal practice in a global environment as a bachelor-level law qualification.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue legal careers in private practice as a solicitor or barrister, as well as roles across government and the public sector in Australia and internationally. The global studies component supports pathways in diplomacy, the United Nations system, international organisations and NGOs, and work with socially focused enterprises. Careers may also extend into international relations and journalism, grounded in bachelor-level legal training. Preparing graduates for legal practice, paralegal, compliance, and public sector legal support roles.
