About the course

Deakin’s Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Cyber Security combines a qualifying law degree with industry-focused cyber security study to address cybercrime, privacy and technology regulation. You’ll build legal reasoning and practical skills alongside technical capabilities such as digital forensics, security management and ethical hacking, supported by real-world learning and simulation-based cyber training. Graduate in five years with dual expertise at the intersection of law and cyber security.

Career outcome

This double degree prepares you for roles where legal expertise meets digital risk and security. Graduates may work in cyber security and privacy law, technology and regulatory compliance, digital risk and governance, incident response support, and advisory roles across government, consulting and large organisations. The combination of law and cyber security skills can also support pathways into legal practice with a technology focus or specialist roles in cybercrime and investigations.
