About the course
This double degree combines legal training with commerce studies to build legal expertise and strong commercial insight. You can tailor the commerce component through a range of professionally accredited majors and build employability via industry placements, networking and guidance from experienced academics. Practical legal experience is developed through ECU’s Community Legal Practice unit and participation in mooting competitions, preparing you for work in law and business. This is an AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree in Law and Commerce.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across legal practice and business-focused environments, supported by combined skills in law and commerce. Career pathways may include work in law firms, corporate and commercial legal teams, compliance and risk, government and regulatory agencies, and community or social justice organisations. The programme’s practical components and industry exposure help prepare you for professional work in courtroom, corporate and public-sector contexts. This is a Bachelor-level pathway into Law and Commerce careers.
