About the course
UNE’s Bachelor of Languages develops proficiency in two or more languages and builds deep understanding of the cultures that shape them. The course suits both beginners and students with prior language study, with majors across a range of languages. Learning is designed to be interactive and immersive, including opportunities for in-country study as part of the program. This is an undergraduate degree in English & Modern Languages. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply advanced language and intercultural skills in roles that involve communication across borders and communities. Career pathways may include translating or interpreting support roles, international business and trade support, tourism and hospitality liaison work, government and community services, education support, and roles in organisations working with international partners.
