About the course
The Korean Studies major combines Korean language learning with the study of Korea across a range of disciplines. You’ll build practical communication skills alongside cultural and contextual knowledge to better understand contemporary Korea and its place in the region and world. This is an undergraduate major delivered on campus at UWA within the languages and humanities discipline. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.
Career outcome
Korean Studies graduates can use language and cultural expertise in roles across business, government and public-sector organisations with links to Korea. Opportunities may include work in international relations, trade and commerce, education, community and cultural organisations, and related professional or management pathways where Korean communication and cross-cultural capability are valued. This is an undergraduate pathway in English & Modern Languages. Preparing graduates for teaching, education support, and learning development roles in schools and colleges.
