This Journalism double degree major develops your ability to research, investigate and report stories for mainstream and independent media. You’ll learn to produce news and feature content for radio, video and online platforms, guided by staff with strong industry experience. Training is supported by industry-standard facilities such as a media production studio, Curtin FM and the Western Independent student news site, with potential professional placement opportunities within a Bachelor degree in Media & Communication.

Graduates can pursue roles across news and communications, creating and presenting content for digital, video and radio platforms. Typical career paths include journalist (including specialist areas such as legal reporting), media presenter, communications officer, media relations officer and digital media officer.
