About the course
This international relations double degree major examines how states and other actors interact in a changing global environment. You’ll explore contemporary issues through political and international relations theory, foreign policy, strategic studies and political history, with an Asia–Pacific emphasis. The major develops analytical and communication skills and can include international study experiences. This is an undergraduate major within a BA/BCom double degree pathway in international relations.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles linked to diplomacy, policy and security, including diplomat or embassy/consulate official, strategic or trade policy analyst, intelligence or signals analyst, research officer or public servant. The major also supports careers in international development, NGOs, think tanks, law enforcement, defence and media/journalism, with pathways into human rights and multicultural liaison work. This is an undergraduate major within a BA/BCom international relations pathway. Preparing graduates for graduate employment, professional traineeships, and further postgraduate study.
