About the course
This one-year Honours program develops advanced knowledge in international relations and political science while building strong research and project-management capability. You’ll complete an independent Honours thesis supported by research design and methods training, preparing you for analytical and leadership roles in policy and governance. It also provides a recognised pathway to higher degrees by research, including PhD study, in international relations and political science.

Graduates may use this Honours year as a pathway to research higher degrees and to strengthen employability in policy and governance settings. Career directions include roles across government, embassies and diplomacy, think tanks, NGOs and humanitarian organisations, universities, and multinational businesses. Entry requirements
Entry into one-year Honours is highly competitive; applicants typically need a bachelor-degree GPA of 5 or above and must contact the Honours Coordinator to discuss their project and supervision.
