About the course
UQ’s Bachelor of Information Technology is built around data, code and people, preparing you to design and build technology that solves real human and organisational problems. You’ll complete core IT study and can specialise across these connected areas. A distinctive project-based studio stream develops hands-on skills through team projects and iterative design, building strong collaboration and communication. This is an undergraduate degree in computing and IT. The programme builds programming, systems thinking, and data skills for technology-driven industries and startups.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles that combine technical development with user and business needs, such as software developer, data/analytics professional, product or UX-focused technologist, and systems or IT consultant.
