About the course
This Bachelor of Information Technology (AI and Data Science) builds core IT foundations in the first year, then develops specialist capability in artificial intelligence and data science. You’ll study both established and emerging technologies and complete mandatory career development, including 60 days of paid industry placement through the Federation Co-op model. It’s an undergraduate degree designed to prepare you for AI- and data-driven roles in the IT sector. The programme builds programming, systems thinking, and data skills for technology-driven industries and startups.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across IT, analytics and systems delivery, applying AI and data skills to real business and technical problems. Potential pathways include business intelligence officer, database analyst/developer, systems analyst/designer, IT consultant, support officer, project manager, team leader and IT manager. This bachelor-level computing qualification supports entry into a broad range of AI and data-focused careers in the IT industry.
