About the course

This degree prepares you for roles in health service management by combining study in health, business and information technology. You’ll build skills in management and administration alongside knowledge of cultural safety, health promotion, and local and global issues shaping health systems. The course includes multidisciplinary learning with other allied health and business students and a community placement plus project work, culminating in a final-year community health project in the health services management field.

Career outcome

Graduates may work across public and private health settings, including primary and community health centres, hospitals, aged care and paediatric services. Career paths can include health administration and coordination, health service planning, policy development, operations management, quality and patient safety roles, rural and remote health services, and health information management.
