About the course
Geographical Sciences explores the Earth’s landscapes, environments, places and people, using spatial thinking to understand and respond to real-world challenges. You’ll develop skills in analysing geographic patterns and processes and interpreting spatial information relevant to society and the environment. This undergraduate course is an on-campus pathway for studying Environmental Science at UWA. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
A major in Geographical Science can lead to roles applying spatial and environmental knowledge across government, industry and community settings. Career directions include environmental and landscape management, planning and assessment, and work that uses geographic and spatial information to support decision-making. This undergraduate course prepares graduates for careers connected to Environmental Science and place-based problem solving.
